North of the
YarkonRiver in the north-western part of the
town there exists the largest soil reservoir of the Tel-AvivMunicipality.The destiny of these soil reserves are for
the continuation and building up of Tel-Aviv Jaffo as
a town situated on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.In the future it also enables to connect the
northern and north-eastern suburbs to thecenter of the town.
We deal here
with a plot of about 3 000 dunam, located from the
SdeDov airfield to the
northern border of the town along 5 km of the
seashore.The process of preliminary
urban planning includes a strategic view delegating the plot of the SdeDov airfield as an integrated
part of the future north-western part of the town.In the first phase of the plan the emphasis
will be on plots vacant for development as long as the SdeDov field is still active as
an air terminal. Thus the first phase
inthe planning
will consist of a plot of about 2 300 dunam north of
|Props street between Namir Road and the seashore. It includes about 1 900 dunam which are not yet developed according to existing town
development plans.
